Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (a.s.) was martyred in the prison of Sandi Ibn Shahak in Baghdad on twenty fifth of Rajab in the year 183 A.H. He was buried in Quraysh tomb (Al-Kadhimiyn city). He was fifty five then. Imam Al-Kadhim (a.s.) lived twenty years with his father and his Imamate lasted thirty five years.
